Following Kambilichukwu’s death, the Nigerian entertainment industry is in mourning.
After weeks of silence, Yul Edochie resorted to social media to share his sadness, and his second wife, Judy Austin, followed suit with an emotional message on her Instagram account.
Judy submitted a memorial candle photo with a sweet note. She posted,
God knows. Wonderful son, rest in God. Kambi Yul-Edochie.”
However, some in Nollywood have criticised her public grief.
Nigerian actor Uche Maduagwu called Judy’s comments inappropriate.
“Aunty, this is insensitive.” Firstly, MAY has not embraced YUL POLYGAMY, indicating she never supported you. It would have been preferable to contact MAY on the phone to comfort her, or mourn YUL Pikin privately, but stepping out to write about her Pikin is INSENSITIVE.
If you are part of that family, phoning the Mom of the Pikin should be more vital than posting.
Georgina Onuoha called Judy Austin a “wench” in Nollywood.
She stated on Instagram, “A son that you ruined his parents and did incalculable mental trauma to? Why is this prat and incorrigible wench so shitful? It’s like they’ve never taught this bad element anything.”
Many Nigerians have called Judy’s post “stupid” and “unacceptable”. Judy still needs to address the concerns, and whether she will is unclear.
