The G-5 integrity committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which worked against the party’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, had Wike and Makinde as members.
In the most recent presidential election, Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) received the support of both governors.
After his Friday meeting with Tinubu at the Defence House in Abuja, he appealed to the media.
Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, was with Wike.
Wike stated that because the results of the elections have already been announced, all Nigerians must join together to support Tinubu.
“I’m certain that Tinubu has what it takes to turn Nigeria around, and everyone is waiting for May 29 when he will be sworn in.”
Makinde also vowed to assist Tinubu in establishing a good government.
“I came here primarily to honour the President-elect and to inform him that the election is done and that government has begun.
Makinde declared, “We would try our best to provide him support for effective administration.”
Wike and Makinde were members of the G-5 integrity committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which worked against the party’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.
Both governors backed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the most recent presidential election.
