US President Joseph Biden declares his reelection campaign

President Joseph Biden will seek re-election in 2024.

He stated the “fight for the soul of the nation isn’t yet complete” in his 2024 Launch video Tuesday morning.

Four years after announcing his first-term presidential candidature on April 25, 2019, Biden declared his re-election.

Through his verified Twitter account, the US president announced his re-election campaign: “Every generation has a moment where they have had to stand up for democracy. defend their rights. Ours, I think.

That’s why I’m running again. Join us. Finish the job.”

“Let’s complete the job” was his slogan.

Biden has no Democratic Party challenger after his first two years of legislative victories and foreign policy setbacks.

In a campaign that might lead to a 2020 rematch with Donald Trump, his age is anticipated to be heavily scrutinised.

A second term would make the veteran Democrat 86. Even though a February medical check certified him “fit” for the president, many, including his own voters, fear he is too elderly.

Over the weekend, an NBC News survey indicated that 70% of Americans, including 51% of Democrats, think he should not run.

Sixty-nine percent of respondents felt he shouldn’t run because of his age.

Biden likes to say, “watch me,” meaning voters should focus on his policy successes at home and his extraordinary Western cooperation to assist Ukraine fight itself against Russia’s invasion.

Biden will benefit from incumbency and an unified party for the next year and a half, while Republicans are just beginning a tumultuous primary season.

Despite being the first past or sitting president to be legally prosecuted and facing inquiries over his 2020 election defeat to Biden, Trump remains the GOP frontrunner.

On Monday, Trump criticised the guy who beat him.

In a statement, he added, “With such a disastrous and failing administration, it is nearly unfathomable that Biden would even contemplate about competing for reelection.”

The most probable Republican candidate to Trump, 44-year-old Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, is also right-wing.
