The Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) has postponed hearing Peter Obi and the Labour Party’s petition against President Bola Tinubu.
The tribunal dismissed the claim on Thursday due to the insufficient timetable of papers to prove electoral misconduct on Saturday, February 25.
The court noted anomalies in Benue State’s 23 LGAs’ paperwork.
At the resumed hearing, the court found that the documents were not scheduled as directed.
Council to Obi and Labour Party, Emeka Okpoko, attempted to utilise unfiled documents to conduct proceedings, however it was prohibited.
The court deferred the petition hearing and ordered the legal team to re-file the schedule of documents according to the pre-hearing report.
Peter Obi, Datti Baba Ahmed, and party leaders witnessed the proceedings.
The petition’s five justices, led by Justice Haruna Simon Tsammani, have retired to their chambers to await the legal team’s order.
