Tonye Cole, an All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for governor in Rivers State, has declared his commitment to continuing his lawsuit against the results of the 2023 governorship election.
Cole declared that he would keep working on his petition until he received justice.
He was responding to rumours that the APC had withdrawn from the case that had been filed to unseat the state’s newly elected governor, Similiayi Fubara.
Cole asserted that he won’t back down until he receives justice, though.
Cole tweeted, “I want to formally repudiate the false rumours surrounding our petition against the Rivers State governorship election results.
“I can guarantee you that our petition is steadfast and unshakable, and we won’t let anything deter us from seeking justice.
“I want to emphasise that we are working relentlessly to ensure our voices are heard, despite attempts to sabotage our efforts.
Until justice is served, “we remain unwavering and steadfast in our struggle for what is right.”
