Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian artist, has stated she just survived an attempted kidnapping.
The event occurred on Thursday in Lagos State.
Her management made the announcement on her verified Instagram profile on Friday.
According to the statement, certain individuals have been apprehended and are “currently being held under investigation at Alagbon Police Station, Ikoyi.”
It also stated that Savage and her family are unharmed.
However, self-proclaimed investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo claimed that the singer’s new driver masterminded the kidnapping attempt with his cronies.
Olunloyo said in an Instagram post that the kidnappers followed her for days before being apprehended and given over to the police.
She said Tiwa Savage’s new driver was an informant for the kidnappers.
She advised celebrities to be aware of their domestic help.
