SaharaReporters reports that Nigeria’s “President-elect”, Bola Tinubu, is in Lagos to recuperate and meet his physicians who arrived in the country to treat him.

Post-treatment health monitoring is required.

After weeks of therapy in France, Tinubu returned to Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, last week.

A source told SaharaReporters on Monday that the “President-elect” travelled to Lagos on Saturday to visit his foreign physicians.

Tinubu slipped into Lagos on Saturday, and he is resting to meet Nigerian physicians for follow-up therapy. “He’ll go to Rivers State to commission Governor Nyesom Wike’s project,” the source added.

SaharaReporters exclusively uncovered that Tinubu was flown to France for medical treatment following the March 18 governorship and State Assembly elections, despite his Director of Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga, insisting he was on vacation.

Despite Tinubu’s denials, SaharaReporters reported that he was intubated for five days while hospitalised abroad.

Intubation saves lives when a patient cannot breathe.

A doctor puts a tube into a patient’s airway (trachea) through their mouth or nose. The box opens the trachea for airflow, and the TV connects to an air or oxygen machine.

Airway blockage, cardiac arrest, injury or damage to the neck, abdomen, or chest that affects the airway, and loss of consciousness or a low level of awareness can lead to intubation, according to Cleveland Clinic.

Additional risks include surgery that prevents you from breathing, respiratory failure, apnea, and aspiration (breathing in an object or substance such as food, vomit or blood).

SaharaReporters said Tinubu’s tongue was jutting out amid his lousy condition.

“Tinubu’s condition and health were in shambles when he left Nigeria to have treatment in a European hospital,” a source added.

“The sickness was so terrible that for five days during his hospitalisation, he could talk and had to be intubated,” another insider added.

One source said his tongue was hanging out.

Tinubu also had a suspected peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC line) on his upper arm when addressing journalists after his homecoming.

His medical gadget’ photos went viral on social media.

Medical professionals utilise PICC to administer drugs and other treatments straight to your heart’s prominent significant veins.
