On Tuesday, Senator Magnus Abe, the SDP’s 2023 Rivers State governorship candidate, said President Bola Tinubu was best prepared to rule Nigeria.

APC presidential candidate Tinubu won the February 25 election. He defeated PDP’s Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party’s Peter Obi to win the nation’s top seat.

Abe said Tinubu is qualified to lead Africa’s largest economy on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

He said Tinubu was the best-prepared, most-experienced, and most-capable candidate for the 2023 presidency.

When politically challenged, Atiku Abubakar ran to Tinubu. Tinubu gave him the platform and encouraged him to run.

So, Tinubu has the ability, knowledge, and reach to unite diverse people in this country. He proved that again in this election.

“I doubt if the APC would have been able to do as much as they did with all the challenges that went on that time without Tinubu running.”

Tinubu loyal?

During the interview, Abe, who represented Rivers South-East Senatorial District in the 9th Assembly, swore allegiance to President Tinubu.

He left the APC and joined the SDP, winning the party’s governorship ticket for the oil-rich state’s March 11 election.

The senator did not rejoin the APC after losing to PDP’s Siminalayi Fubara. He swore allegiance to the President and ruling party leader.

He replied, “I have not moved.” Rivers State politics drew me to the SDP.

“I was always where you know I was in national politics.”

“That’s where I am,” Abe told the show’s anchor, Seun Okinbaloye.
