President Bola Tinubu is congratulating Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 57th birthday. Vice President Shettima last Thursday encouraged his many friends and political allies to avoid “placing birthday wishes on newspaper pages or using sponsored methods to send your greetings” on his birthday.

Vice President said the decision was taken “in the spirit of our nation’s commitment to responsible resource management and responsive governance” in a press release he signed.

President Tinubu joined family, friends, and acquaintances of the former governor of Borno State in thanking God for the Vice President’s years of distinguished service to Nigeria in both the private and governmental sectors.

Ajuri Ngelale, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, signed a statement yesterday in which Tinubu praised Shettima for his unwavering devotion to the country and his unwavering dedication to advancing society throughout his illustrious career, which included working as a lecturer at the University of Maiduguri before entering the banking industry and rising quickly.

The president praised the vice president for his bravery in leading Borno State for eight years through a horrific insurgency in the North East.

Tinubu stated, “This outstanding public servant fought all obstacles in the area with a viciously intellectual mind and a creative doggedness to address dynamic challenges with dynamic solutions, producing high-quality leaders and institutions for the sustainably thriving future of Borno State.” He prayed for the iconic politician and his family’s health.
