Timi Frank, a former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has accused certain desperate politicians of trying to reverse Governor Ademola Adeleke’s win at the Appeal Court at any costs.
In a statement published Thursday, Frank urged Supreme Court Justices to retain their integrity and oppose any effort at subversion by inducement in the Osun gubernatorial situation.
According to current intelligence, the opponents of democracy and fascist groups acting within the ruling All Progressives Congress are determined to suffocate democracy.
Frank indicated that fascist groups were willing to exploit every state institution available to perpetuate mischief and undermine legitimacy, as seen by the just finished Adamawa governorship repeat election.
He emphasised that the Supreme Court must be made aware that Nigerians are interested in the outcome of the Supreme Court’s judgement and that it will continue to shine its searchlights on the discreet activities of the Judges, especially after the ridiculous decisions involving Sen Ahmed Lawan and Sen Godswill Akpabio.
Frank went on to say that with an overwhelming Court of Appeal decision validating Senator Ademola Adeleke’s election as Osun State Governor and a prior Supreme Court decision clearing all problems about his eligibility and credentials, any additional judicial action was akin to a witch hunt.
“But, these same individuals who’ve been functioning without fear of penalties have once again emerged to undermine the integrity of the court by swearing to overturn the decision of the Court of Appeal, by whatever means necessary, in connection to the Osun State Supreme Court judgement,” Frank added.
“We are forced to assume that, indeed, recent Supreme Court judgements show that certain concessions may have been made by the results of court issues.”
Frank stated that many Nigerians’ aspirations were quickly disappearing as they questioned the independence of the court in the administration of justice.
