Three Nigerian entrepreneurs have been picked to represent the country at the next Forbes 30 under 30 summit in 2023.
The summit will be held in Gaborone, Botswana, from April 23 to 26.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports Development stated this on Friday, adding that the Minister, Sunday Dare, will accompany them.
Dare will also be representing President Muhammadu Buhari, who had been invited by Botswana’s President, Mokgweetsi Masisi.
Ashley Jiritmwa Dimka-Tapgun, 29, CEO of Ashley’s Strawberry Farms Limited; Ayodeji Atte, 28, a media entrepreneur; and Winnie Ojochenemi Adejo, 29, CEO and creative director of Kira Brand Limited are the chosen entrepreneurs.
Some famous entrepreneurs attending the event include popular afrobeat singer Fireboy DML, founder and CEO of Bella Naija, Uche Pedro, chairman of AW Network and creator of RED, Adebola Williams, and more.
Dare expressed his delight at the chance to lead the entrepreneurs to the summit, noting that it would give a platform for Nigerians to demonstrate their competence and investment desirability.
“I am honoured to be heading this group to this event to exhibit our kids and highlight their investment worthiness.” “We are a country gifted with vast and diversified talent, and it shows even in the number of Nigerian speakers and VIPs for this event,” Dare remarked.
“We feel that Africa’s future growth is based on the manufacturing of both mid and high-value complicated and non-complex commodities that we now buy from outside the continent that we should typically share within, which is the driving force for the AFCTA.” Nigeria will continue to support investment, aspiration, and networks for our youth, as usual,” he stated.
Forbes arranged the conference to “harness the potential of entrepreneurial capitalism amid a continent brimming with opportunity for young entrepreneurs and fast becoming a magnet for business and technology innovation.”
