Peter Obi doesn’t seem to think so, particularly when it comes to issues involving the murderous, bloodthirsty IPOB, the group that is wreaking havoc in the South East of Nigeria by killing their own and destroying the people they claim to be fighting… and by putting children, women, and anyone else they come across to death.
The federal authorities labelled the group as a terrorist organisation around five years ago. Peter Obi appeared on television to express his disagreement with the categorisation. Peter Obi yelled, “IPOB is not a terrorist group” (check Guardian Nigeria 16th January 2023)
Recently, the group drove out enforcers who assaulted viciously instructors and WAEC candidates. Their sole transgression was carrying out their legal duties on a Monday. Even yet, Peter Obi would not denounce such a heinous conduct.
Obi’s quiet has been audible, making it obvious that he is one of the leaders who has helped them thus far. He argues in his tweet that Ipob did not issue the order to stay at home. They will bring disturbance to Lagos, according to Simon Ekpa, who maintains that they gave the order.
Obi cannot claim to want to lead Nigeria while actively fomenting turmoil in one region of the country. That is a despicable act to commit. He has to be specific in his criticism of the organisation and its actions. One leg cannot be within the other.
Peter Obi, because you are aware of both their statements and their omissions, claim IPOB with your chest.
