Eezee Creations Ltd is launching a gospel musical talent show for Christian creatives in Nigeria at a time when music transcends cultural, religious, and linguistic boundaries.
Gospel Groove Talent Quest (#GGTQ2023), themed “It’s all about the gospel,” will run in July and August 2023.
GGTQ would provide kingdom growth training, industry, and ministry ethics. Gospel music specialists assisted.
During a press event, Eezee Concepts Ltd founder Eezee Tee said the talent search would turn chosen participants into industry specialists. The label has subsequently identified, nurtured, and equipped raw talents with ministry skills, training, and ethics.
He said the programme drives the “Mindustry” narrative, a mix of ministry and industry. He stressed that “industry is the platform for the manifestation of the call to God’s service, whereas ministry is the call.”
The talent show’s project manager, Ben Ogbeiwi, said the platform seeks to counter gospel acts’ secular migration. Hence, the project is designed for kingdom growth to prevent deviance. “You’ll stay Christian in this project,” he continued.
Talent, ability, and character will be assessed and awarded. Eezee Tee believes this will end contest rivalry, where the winner takes everything.
Ige Kachi, a vocal coach and facilitator, said, “we want to see how effectively they can reflect God.” We desire humility and curiosity.”
“We demand quality, we also want to see the enthusiasm and have a visual-tactile sense with each participant,” said gospel singer Mike Abdul.
The organisers also promised to help participants build a successful gospel music career.
The show’s producers told the press, “The auditions have been extended to Saturday to allow interested participants, enjoy a streamlined registration procedure.”
