As President Muhammadu Buhari’s presidency ended today, May 29, 2023, Mr. Sunday Dare, the Minister of Sports and Youth Development, turned over control of the Ministry to Alhaji Ismaila Abubakar, the Permanent Secretary.
The Minister expressed his gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for providing him with the chance to serve his country at the Handing Over Ceremony held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
He claimed that the position gave him the chance to have a more profound knowledge and awareness of the difficulties facing the Government, particularly those facing young people, and that it also allowed him to explore for creative solutions to challenging problems related to the Government.
Dare urged Nigerian youth to support the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Administration for greater sector growth, adding that the position gave him the chance to encourage them to pursue sports as a career for the nation’s socioeconomic development.
In response, Alhaji Ismaila Abubakar, Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, praised Mr. Sunday Dare for his admirable achievements inside the Ministry.
He expressed gratitude to the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Administration for fostering a climate that allowed the sector to flourish and promised the personnel and management of the Ministry’s support and cooperation to the new Government led by President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
