Siddiq Abubakar’s name change to Atiku Abubakar is formally documented, and the former vice president discusses it

The former Vice President and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in 2023, Atiku Abubakar, said his name change from Siddiq to his current name was formal.

Atiku said the Presidency and ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) tried to drag him into forgery to minimise allegations against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Atiku Media Office and his Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, announced this on Sunday.

“Contrary to Bola A. Tinubu’s forgery shopping allegation against Atiku, it is on record that the former Vice President’s name change from Siddiq Abubakar to Atiku Abubakar is well documented in an affidavit dated August 18 1973, spanning over 50 years (which incidentally is as old as Tinubu’s life of forgeries and lies),” he said.

The statement said the world has concluded that President “Bola A. Tinubu is a confirmed forger-in-chief” due to his 50-year serial forgeries and lies.

Bola A. Tinubu lied about his heritage, name, birthdate, education, and work experience.

“The discovery of Tinubu’s records at Chicago State University and the court-ordered deposition in the US are just the tip of his forgeries and lies.

“Bola A. Tinubu’s attempt to drag Atiku Abubakar into his drowning arena of forgery must be seen for what it is: an attempt to minimise his forgery allegations.”

Ibe claims Tinubu only attended CSU and impersonated a student to gain admission.

Let’s put Bola A. Tinubu’s lies and forgeries in context. Tinubu lied under oath in his form CF001 to INEC in 1999, claiming he attended St Paul’s Primary School, Aroloya, Lagos; Government College Ibadan, Chicago University (CU), and Chicago State University (CSU).

“According to his Chicago State University records, Bola A. Tinubu forged a Government College Lagos secondary school certificate, a Cambridge University HSC certificate, and a transcript from Richard Daley College, which belongs to a woman.

“We also know, thanks to the discoveries, that the CSU, a few days before graduation in 1979, notified him of outstanding (or carry-over) pre-qualifying examinations in English, Mathematics, and Comprehension, which never appeared on his transcript to have been retaken.

After lying about his education, Bola A. Tinubu claimed in his 1999 affidavit to run for Lagos State governor that he worked for Arthur Anderson Accounting, Deloitte, and Mobil Nigeria. Since his footprints are nowhere to be found in Deloitte or Authur Anderson, both claims in the US are false.

Like CSU, Deloitte denied knowing or having Bola A. Tinubu in their employ and has stopped adding that to his official or public records since his exposure.

Curiously, Bola A. Tinubu’s handlers smuggled Adekunle, a middle name that magically appeared in his NYSC certificate, into his Wikipedia on October 6, 2023. This may indicate another master forgery.

But Bola A. Tinubu and his handlers want to confuse the public by implying what Atiku Abubakar is not.

The statement asked President Tinubu and his handlers to stop comparing the President and Atiku: “For clarification, all the names that Atiku Abubakar bears are names that are traceable to his family tree.

“He became Atiku Abubakar while working for the Nigeria Customs Service. Atiku’s life is open, unlike Bola A. Tinubu’s.

In contrast, Bola A Tinubu had no history or social acquaintance until the late 1970s.
