During Chelsea’s showdown with Everton, Romeo Lavia sent a shoutout to Cole Palmer via social media. The 21-year-old midfielder dazzled with four goals against Sean Dyche’s squad at Stamford Bridge, powering the Blues to a resounding 6-0 victory.

In the first 15 minutes, Palmer capitalized on a slick one-two with Nicolas Jackson to slip the ball past Jordan Pickford, breaching Dyche’s defence. Shortly after, he showcased quick reflexes, heading the ball into an unguarded net.

Exploiting a parried shot from Pickford, Palmer seized the opportunity to extend Chelsea’s lead. The Everton keeper faltered again for Palmer’s third goal, completing his ‘perfect’ hat-trick by lofting the ball from 40 yards with his weaker foot.

Even with Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson vying for penalty duty, Palmer confidently converted from 12 yards. His stellar performance didn’t go unnoticed, as Lavia expressed admiration on social media.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Lavia exclaimed, “[two laughing emojis and a blue heart emoji] This is beyond belief now! MR. COLD PALMER.” When Palmer secured his hat-trick moments later, Lavia was left speechless and posted a simple ellipsis.

Commenting on the spectacle, Jamie Carragher lauded Palmer’s consistency throughout the season on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, noting how the entire team elevated their game to match his standard. Despite Chelsea’s impressive display, Carragher also questioned Everton’s performance, suggesting a thorough analysis was warranted after such a heavy defeat.
