Reno Omokri, a former presidential assistant, praised the Labour Party (LP “Obidients”)’s after the 2023 presidential election’s significant votes.
Reno told ARISE TV on April 30, 2023, that “Obidents” should be recognised.
If LP presidential candidate Peter Obi had not quit the Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would have won the 2023 election, he said.
The social media critic praised the former governor of Anambra State for galvanising a movement that delivered him 6 million votes within eight months of quitting PDP.
Reno stated Peter Obi virtually recreated Emmanuel Macron’s Party in France and could be studied at universities worldwide.
Reno Omokri Warns Factional LP
Reno Omokri, a former presidential communications adviser, urged the Labour Party (LP) against undermining its presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Reno said this in response to a party leadership dispute.
According to Naija News, LP factional Chairman Bashir Apapa declared the Asaba National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting unconstitutional, claiming that Peter Obi is unfit to reign.
He further asserted that the Labour Party flag bearer’s attendance demonstrated that he violated the Abuja Federal High Court ruling upholding the ban on the Labour Party National Chairman and three other individuals from acting in an official capacity for the Party.
Omokri stated on Wednesday that factional leaders must recognise Obi’s sacrifice that reshaped the Party in a year.
He stated that the former Anambra State Governor’s sacrifice justified the LP factional leaders overlooking his mistakes.
