The top three competitors in Top Bank’s highly anticipated Sounds of ALAT competition have been revealed.
The competition, which started a few months ago, aims to find and develop upcoming musicians in Nigeria and provide them with a stage to demonstrate their abilities to a wider audience.
After a four-day boot camp held at the bank’s Purple Academy, the celebrity judges Cobhams Asuquo, Omawumi, DJ Sose, and Alpha Ojini unanimously selected the top three competitors, Onyealisigwe Bright, Fashoro Taiye, and Kareem Tomiwa.
The participants will move on to the competition’s final round, where they will compete for the main prize of N3 million, N2 million, and N1 million, respectively, for the winner and first and second runners-up.
Wema Bank’s Director of Brand and Marketing Communication, Mabel Adeteye, stated following the selection of the top three competitors: “We are proud of the quality of talent we have witnessed in the Songs of ALAT competition.”
The degree of skill and originality demonstrated by the participants is proof of Nigeria’s excellent musical potential. Sounds of ALAT is just one of the numerous ways that Wema Bank is assisting with expanding and developing people and companies throughout Nigeria.
Fans of the competitors and music lovers throughout Nigeria are urged to follow Wema Bank and ALAT’s social media accounts to see the competition’s final round live.
Adeteye continued, “Over 500 submissions from different regions of Nigeria showed the enormous response to sounds of ALAT.”
“From this round of submissions, 10 contenders—John Daramola, Demebide Moni Annie, Fashoro Taiye, Okafor Jane, Kareem Tomiwa, Emesim Chigozie, Olasunkanmi Alabi, Onyealisigwe Bright, Ale Felix, and Oluwatimilehin Fortune—were chosen for the following round. All of them gave it their all.
“A four-day boot camp was held at the Wema Bank Purple Academy for the shortlisted candidates.” The boot camp gave the participants a hands-on opportunity to learn from professionals in the music business and hone their abilities.
During the masterclass and studio recording sessions, the top 10 contestants received helpful criticism from the celebrity judges, including Omawumi, DJ Sose, Cobhams Asuquo, and Alpha Ojini.
“Wema Bank is dedicated to assisting talented people and the development of the Nigerian music industry. “The bank’s persistent dedication to fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, and creativity in Nigeria is attested to by Sounds of ALAT, Adeteye said.
