Former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode, a prominent member of the ruling All Progressives Party (APC), has criticized John Onaiyekan for saying that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu shouldn’t be sworn in as president on Monday, May 29. Onaiyekan is the archbishop emeritus of the Abuja Catholic Archdiocese.
Remember that Onaiyekan said in an interview with Channels TV on May 4 that Tinubu should have been kept from being sworn in since legal challenges are pending against his FGeburayr 25 election win in the presidential election.
According to APC leader Fani-Kayode, anyone opposed to Tinubu’s inauguration would perish.

Hence he said:
“To Cardinal John Onaiyekan and others who agree with him, I say the following. Our President-oath elect’s of office should be administered once the Election Tribunal has rendered its decision.
According to the perception of the Nigerian people, the Deep State scheme to stop Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu from becoming president has failed long ago.
We are well past that point, and a moving train cannot be stopped.
“Those whose hearts have hardened and who have rejected God’s will and warning to release Asiwaju and the Nigerian people will die before our own eyes, like Pharaoh.
“The Red Sea will swallow up everyone who tries to pursue us into the Promised Land while they are full of resentment, hatred, jealousy, anger, and violence.
God willing, the President-elect SHALL take the oath of office on May 29. Those who wish him harm or death will see his cemetery before he does.
“This is the Lord’s doing, and it is wonderful in our eyes.”

Information on the APC and PDP governors that are in Rivers with Tinubu as Wike greets the president-elect
Before his inauguration on May 29, when President Muhammadu Buhari will formally hand over authority to him, it has already become clear that Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, would pursue a government of unity.
The drama that took place during Tinubu’s two-day visit to Rivers state may be evidence that the unity government concept would be put into practise when he takes office on May 29.
In addition to the fact that he was welcomed and hosted by Governor Nyesom Wike of the main opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Tinubu’s tour also includes previous governors and a second opposition governor who is now in office.
Tinubu makes a new commitment: “I won’t marginalize any area.”
According to a previous story, Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, has pledged to bring the nation together and provide prosperity to every area once his government is sworn in.
When speaking to the residents of Rivers state, Tinubu made a commitment that his government would not hold up the development of any region of the nation.
On a two-day visit to Rivers state, the president-elect praised Governor Nyesom Wike for the enormous growth in the state and stated that he would be more needed for a more prominent position.
