On May 16, Professor Igho Natufe will address the media in honour of Okpe Union Day

On May 16, 2023, Professor Igho Natufe, President General of the Okpe Union, will give a speech about the solidarity and might of the Okpe Nation.

The expert in international relations and former political science professor at the Universities of Ghana and Benin will discuss the union’s role in the development of Okpe Kingdom, the significant steps it has taken to realize the vision of its forefathers, and calls for the development and commercialization of the Sapele Seaport and other Delta State ports.

Journalists from both home and abroad are welcome to ask the President General, and other members of the Okpe Union National Executive Council questions about Okpe as a distinct ethnic nationality in Nigeria, the difficulties facing Okpe leadership in politics and governance, the accomplishments of the Okpe Union, and the issues facing the good people of the Okpe Kingdom.

According to a statement by the Deputy President General, South-West, Engineer Francis Redemi, “the press conference will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at the Registered Office of the Okpe Union, 65 Moshalashi Street, Obalende, Lagos, from 1:00pm, as part of activities planned by the Okpe Union to mark its 93rd anniversary.”

On Tuesday, May 16, 2023, “Professor Igho Natufe shall make a special address to members of the Okpe Union,” the announcement continued.
