Mr Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, has recently returned from London, where he celebrated Easter, and has stated that he was approached by London immigration officers at Heathrow Airport and detained for impersonation.
According to a statement issued by the Obi-Datti media team on Wednesday, immigration officers who questioned Obi for a long time were compelled to admit that he was being interviewed for a duplicate offense when other Nigerians at the airport interfered.
It was stated that this indicated that someone had been impersonating Obi in London, and that because the impostor is still at large, Obi could be implicated in a variety of illegal activities or framed in a way that would be embarrassing to him, his family, his party, the Obidient Movement, and even Nigeria.
“Obi arrived at Heathrow Airport in London from Nigeria on Good Friday, April 7, 2023, and joined the queue for the appropriate Airport formalities when he was confronted by an immigration officer who handed him a detention letter and requested him to stand aside,” according to the statement.
“He was questioned for a long time, which was unusual for a man who had lived in that nation for over a decade.”
“Since Obi’s face was already a worldwide frame, especially for Nigerians, Africans at home, and the Diaspora who are likely to be Obidients, people rapidly raised their voices in confusion as to why he was being delayed.”
“Immigration authorities, who were equally taken aback by the people’s response, were compelled to admit that Obi was being questioned for a duplicate offense, which means that someone was impersonating him in London.”
“The serious consequence of the offense is that the impostor might be committing serious crimes and other heinous things in Obi’s name.”
Since the impersonator is still at large, the scenario is unthinkable, as Obi could be implicated in a series of prohibited acts and even framed in a way that would be a huge embarrassment to him, his family, his party, the Obidian Movement, and indeed Nigeria, where he currently and undeniably remains the people’s conscience.
Obi-media Datti’s office recalled that the former Anambra State Governor principal has been under constant attack since the February 25th, Presidential election, in which, as the standard bearer of the Labour Party, he finished third out of 18 candidates as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), despite the fact that his supporters and many other election observers, including international observers, believe strongly that he did not win.
“Since he was instructed to go to court if he has strong feelings about the election, which all foreign observers unanimously said was faulty and full of defects and he accepted, he has faced terrible attacks from all sides.”
“Even the Federal Government, which ordered him to go to prison, sent Minister of Communication Lai Mohammad to the United States to try to de-market him and accused him of treason.”
“Obi’s phone line was also tapped while they were presumably hunting for material to represent him negatively in front of a segment of the country that had overwhelmingly voted for him.”
“As though they weren’t obtaining the desired consequences of tarnishing his image and potentially putting the translators under a larger conscience weight, they tried to encourage him to leave the nation and go take a break.” It was claimed.
The Obi-Datti media team further stated that it is not impossible that people pressuring him to leave the nation may have planted the impersonators in order to stain the Eagle’s impeccable look.
The Obi-Datti Media Office told all people of goodwill, particularly Obidients, that the “Rock” is ready to bear the agony and stay even more motivated to pursue whatever route his creator has planned for him in Nigeria.
“Finally, let it be known that, in the face of a flurry of unjustified assaults and cogs being placed in the wheel of saving our dear nation, Obi is adamant that a new Nigeria is feasible, where the people will be able to live in a safe and productive country they would all be proud to possess.” Meanwhile, the former Governor of Anambra State has returned to the country and has resumed his charitable efforts, visiting health and educational institutions, giving gifts, and receiving accolades,” the statement read.
