Nigerien Forces apprehend infamous Nigerian bandit boss Kachallah Mai Daji

Niger Republic’s Armed Forces have apprehended the notorious Nigerian bandit kingpin, Kachallah Mai Daji.

The wanted bandit leader was captured near Illela, a border town between Nigeria and Niger Republic.

According to Zagazola Makama, a security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Kachallah Mai Daji has wreaked havoc across northeastern Nigeria for the past decade.

“He has been responsible for numerous killings, village burnings, kidnappings, and extortion activities for almost ten years,” stated Makama.

The infamous bandit leader operated prominently in the Illela region, terrorizing villages including Tozai, Sabon Garin Darna, Darna Tsolawo, Tudun Gudali, Basanta, Ɗan Kadu, Takalmawa, Gidan Hamma, Ambarura, Gidan Bulutu, and many others in the vicinity.

Kachallah Mai Daji was apprehended by Nigerian forces while attempting to steal livestock across the Nigeria-Niger border.

“He was nabbed by Nigerien forces during an attempt to rustle livestock across the border,” the report confirmed.

Meanwhile, a group of bandits has abducted at least 13 residents of Abuja in a community within the Bwari area council.

The bandits are demanding a ransom of N900 million, along with other items, for the safe release of the captives.
