Via a Twitter, update made two days ago, on May 13 by @alakowee, word of her situation immediately gained attention and sympathy among Nigerians.
The mother from Kwara described a string of heartbreaking mishaps, one of which being a tragic incident that apparently resulted in the deaths of her five cherished children and left her distraught.
She then lost her house and was left homeless, which added to her suffering.
Alakowe used this information to guide her decision to tell her experience and ask for help.

Her unfortunate circumstances moved people from all walks of life, and many came forward to lend a helping hand by contributing to her welfare.
According to reports, the donated money will be utilised to build her a new home and purchase some essentials for her.
The woman thanked Nigerians for their generosity in a different Update published two days later, on May 16. She stood in front of the house that was ostensibly being built on her behalf.
