Nigerians react as Igbos in Sudan lament Buhari’s government’s discrimination in the ongoing evacuation effort

According to him, Igbos were left behind when Nigerian authorities evacuated stranded Nigerians from war-torn Sudan by the state of origin.

The Igbo ethnic community of Nigeria’s South-East has been accused of discrimination by some stranded Nigerians in conflict-ridden Sudan during the evacuation operation.

A Nigerian of the Igbo ethnic group is shown lamenting the amount of prejudice against Igbos in a foreign country, to the point where, after getting aboard evacuation vans, they were reportedly requested to disembark in Sudan, according to a viral video spotted by SaharaReporters on Tuesday.

According to him, Igbos were left behind when Nigerian authorities evacuated stranded Nigerians from war-torn Sudan by the state of origin.

The man in the viral video wearing black clothing and speaking in Igbo claimed they were ordered to get off the bus that was taking other stranded Nigerians of various ethnic groups to Egypt on Saturday and Sunday.

However, the young man in the video pleaded with powerful Igbo men to help them.

“We are here at the University of Khartoum, where they are working on an evacuation scheme to get trapped Nigerians out,” he stated. They arrived, transported the people they brought, and then abandoned us Igbo people. Three days ago, we were told to get out as we got inside the evacuation truck. Politics has permeated everything.

We are acting as our potential allies. Our brother, Allen Onyeama of Air Peace, has brought planes that will transport people from Egypt to their homes. He is there making every effort to make sure everything goes well, but I want to let him and other Nigerians know that nothing is going well. While the news in Nigeria is that we have been evacuated, observe where they left Igbos to die. Find us and our belongings in Sudan, where they abandoned us. Oh no, we haven’t been evacuated!

“We are urging rich Igbo guys who are known for assisting others, like Arthur Eze, to come to our rescue.”

Nigerian Twitter users have attacked Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), branding her a “tribal bigot.”

Abike Dabiri is a bigoted tribalist, as @PIDOMNIGERIA said. I feel bad for Geoffrey Onyeama, who just serves as a ceremonial minister of foreign affairs.

The man is too frail.

“He is unable to endure his justifications for making important choices. Imagine how they purposefully ignored and let the Igbos in Sudan perish.

“Im a Yoruba man who works and lives in Anambra, how can I demonstrate this to my igbo buddies,” @Sheva8492 said.

The world’s friendliest people, they are.

If you are a Yoruba and support this evil, don’t worry; you will undoubtedly be affected.
