The International Vice President and Chairman Africa Region of the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics (CILT) is Nigerian transport magnate Magayaki Zauzau Ibrahim Jibril. The newly elected executives were inaugurated at the annual CILT Africa forum in Kigali, Rwanda.
The 2023 conference, titled “Logistics & Infrastructure development as an engine for sustainable implementation of African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA),” featured speakers from Africa and outside discussing supply chain, logistics, and transport concerns in Africa.
On the occasion, Ibrahim Jibril thanked the International President, Paul Sainthouse, and the President-Elect for their work elevating the body. He assured the newly elected executives they would build on their predecessors’ successes.
The President’s worldwide secretariat effort is commendable. We appreciate your efforts. At this time, I cannot but praise the President-Elect. Africa is incredibly proud of your achievements and what you have done in over two decades to take us to where we are now, and we will continue to appreciate you. “With your selection as President-Elect and International President, Africa is in it with you,” he remarked.
Ibrahim Jibril, the recently elected Vice President, holds a Master of International Affairs and Diplomacy, an Advanced Diploma, and a Bachelor of Public Administration. Director of NIMASA, he retired.
At NIMASA, he oversaw the departments for maritime capacity development, corporate planning and statistics, administration and human resources, reform coordination and strategic management, and maritime labour services.
He has held long-standing memberships in the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), the Institute of Supervision and Leadership, and the Nautical Institute (CNI), London. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Supervision and Leadership. He served as Nigeria’s President and Chairman of the Council, as well as International Vice President of CILT in London. He is Magayaki Zauzau of Kaduna State.
