According to World Peace Movement International, UK, Nigeria needs honest leadership to develop and realise its full potential as the continent’s superpower.
This was said by Dr. Mike Uyi, President General of the organisation, to reporters prior to the June 12 presidential election.
He asserted that the Nigerian approach to leadership was flawed and that many of the nation’s leaders had self-enrichment as their main objective.
Making decisions, coming up with answers to issues, preserving polity stability, and directing the nation towards wealth are all part of being a leader.
Yet, a significant portion of Nigerian leaders lacked the insight, zeal, and moral courage necessary to manage the country’s economic crisis.
“We as citizens must alter our beliefs, attitudes, and direction in order to create the Nigeria of our dreams.
Because values are the foundation of national development: “no nation can accomplish its developmental ambitions unless its population accept and proclaim the proper values and attitudes.”
Dr. Uyi urged Nigerians to back Senator Akpabio and Barau Jibrin as the red chamber’s upcoming leaders in order to lay a solid basis for the nation’s effective governance.
According to Uyi, Senator Akpabio/leadership Barau’s of the 10th Nigerian Senate promises to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR’s efficient administration of Nigeria.
He asserts that Senators Akpabio and Barau have each demonstrated their unmatched capacity for being outstanding leaders to the world. It is, therefore, no surprise that the Stability Group, which Senator Ali Ndume leads, is mobilising support for their campaigns for Senate President and Deputy Senate President, respectively.
