Meet the IGBO Politicians Endorsing President Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu garners support from prominent figures in the South-East, including ministers and lawmakers. Notable backers include Jim Ovia, founder of Zenith Bank, and Chief Arthur Eze, a respected businessman. 

Senator Orji Uzo Kalu publicly endorsed Tinubu’s 2023 presidential bid, with visuals of Tinubu visiting Kalu’s family circulating widely. Despite his support, Kalu expressed disappointment at not receiving backing for the Senate President’s seat. 

Ben Kalu, Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives from Abia State, played a crucial role in rallying support for Tinubu in the 2023 elections, earning him his position. 

Nkeiru Onyejeocha, Minister of State for Labour and Productivity, has transitioned from state to federal politics, aligning herself with Tinubu’s aspirations.

Doris Uzoka-Anite, a seasoned banker and now Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, has been actively involved in Tinubu’s presidential campaign and holds a significant role in his advisory council.

Uju Kennedy Ohanenye, Minister for Women Affairs, withdrew her own presidential candidacy in support of Tinubu and now serves in his government.

Hope Uzodinma, Imo State Governor, played a crucial role in securing votes for Tinubu during the elections, earning him recognition within Tinubu’s administration.

Akarachi Etiosa Amadi, a young engineer and member of the Federal House of Representatives, leveraged his family’s influence and campaigned vigorously for Tinubu in Imo State.

Osita Izunaso, a veteran politician, represents Imo West senatorial district and has been a steadfast supporter of Tinubu.

Dave Umahi, former Ebonyi State governor turned senator, stepped down from his presidential bid to support Tinubu and now serves as Minister for Works in Tinubu’s government.

Patrick Ifeanyi Uba, a business mogul and politician, switched allegiance to Tinubu’s camp after being elected as Senator for Anambra South senatorial district.
