Kyle Walker, a representative of England, has verbally committed to joining Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich this summer and leaving Manchester City.
According to a report from Sky in Germany, Kyle Walker has signed a three-year contract with Bayern Munich to join the Bundesliga powerhouse this summer.
The agreement stipulates that the England international will stay at Bayern Munich until 2026.
The procedure still needs to be completed, however. Bayern has cleared itself about the player, but if Manchester City rejects Bayern’s offer, the transaction might fall through.
So, the discussions between Bayern Munich and the current Premier League champions are the following step. Kyle Walker’s contract with City only has one season remaining, which is wonderful news for the German team.
This is fantastic news since Kyle Walker, an English defender, will leave City on a free transfer next summer if City reject Bayern’s bid and Walker declines to renew his contract with City this summer.
Remember that on July 14, 2017, the 33-year-old England international transferred from Tottenham Hotspur to Manchester City for €52.70 million.
Since then, Kyle Walker has made 254 appearances for the team in all leagues, with 6 goals and 18 assists.
Furthermore, if Kyle Walker departs the team for Bayern Munich this summer, according to Italian transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City has picked Benjamin Pavard as the next right-back to join.
Pavard, who transferred from VfB Stuttgart to Bayern Munich in 2019, may depart the defending Bundesliga winners this offseason.
