LAGOS On Sunday, thousands of All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters rallied in Kabba, Kogi-West Senatorial District, to support governorship candidate Usman Ododo ahead of the November election.

At the successful rally, stakeholders highlighted the enormous support for the APC candidate, with defectors from opposition parties such as the PDP, SDP, and African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Supporters maintained that opposition parties have no chance in the election.

Speakers and leaders from Kogi-West said they couldn’t afford to be in the minority and that the APC has given them limitless opportunities since the state’s creation.

Our people in Kogi West have mandated that opposition political parties have no space. Funsho Olumoko, Director General Kogi West APC Governorship Campaign, said the APC will benefit greatly.

Former Kogi State Deputy Governor Yomi Awoniyi said Okuns will deliver for the APC together.

“Our people will deliver for APC. He promised Kogi State residents to vote for consolidation and sustainability in the November 11 governorship election.

The Director General of the Kogi State APC governorship campaign, Minister of Steel Development Shaibu Abubakar, said the massive turnout showed that the APC has no opposition and will win impressively on November 11.

Bring everyone out to vote for Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo. This will allow him to build on Governor Yahaya Bello’s security, job creation, infrastructure, and other achievements. The massive turnout today shows we have no opposition, he said.

Rt. Hon. Umar Aliyu, Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, said Lokoja-Kogi Federal Constituency is a no-go area for the opposition because the people will reward the APC for giving them a sense of belonging and for their achievements.

“Let me clarify. He said Lokoja and Kogi LGA residents had never had it so good and that the APC would be rewarded for their sense of belonging, infrastructure, and appointments.

Others who spoke included Kogi State Government Secretary Folashade Ayoade, Deputy Governor Edward Onoja, Suleiman Babadoko, and Taofiq Isah.

They stressed that the APC’s strength and the state’s successes had sealed the Kogi-opposition-free West’s status.

Usman Ododo, the Kogi State APC governorship candidate, pledged to build on Governor Bello’s progress.

“I’m ready to serve and bring new development to the state. “Governor Yahaya Bello has laid a solid foundation for the state, and I’ll ensure sustainability and consolidation,” he said.

Governor Yahaya Bello urged Kogi-West residents to work together to create a government that meets their needs.

My administration’s accomplishments are apparent. We cannot afford complacency. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has many plans for Kogi State, so we must be in support.

Our infrastructure has been rebuilt in recent years. Kogi has money and resources to help people. We cannot afford to regress.

I urge the people of Kogi-West to vote for the APC to consolidate, unite, and ensure that the next generation can be proud of what has been accomplished, Bello said.

Receiving PDP and other opposition party decampees and presenting the flag to the APC governorship candidate were rally highlights.

The Campaign team visited Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi, Obaro of Kabba, HRM, who assured the State Government of traditional ruler support.

He assured Kogi West residents that they would repay the administration’s kindness.
