Betty Irabor, creator of Genevieve Magazine, disagreed with this advice, saying that she had been married for 39 years and that playing a fool to keep the peace was damaging psychologically, emotionally, and physically.
She wrote;
“Eeeya. also married for 39 years. Being a fool for so long to keep peace out of submissiveness or respect for your spouse is bad psychologically, emotionally, and physically. Gosh! “I commend her if her marital recipe is working.”
