The complaints of nine state House of Assembly candidates of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) against the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission have been received by the State Assembly Election Tribunal sitting at the Miller Road Court complex in Kano (INEC).

The petitioners have also asked the panel to allow their motion ex parte request.

The petitioners are requesting an ex parte motion from the Tribunal allowing them to view the materials utilized by INEC during the conduct of the state House of Assembly election on March 18, 2023.

Their plea also includes a request for the court’s approval to proceed with the completion of all required judicial proceedings in regard to pursuing their claim.

Meanwhile, NNPP stalwarts are in court challenging problems that they believe violate the requirements of the Electoral Act 2022.

Aminu Saidu Ungogo, Isiyiaku Ali Danja, Abdullahi Ali Wudil Manager, Kabiru Getso Haruna, Mahmud Tajo Gaya, Abdullahi Iliyasu, Musa Adamu Ahmad, Aminu Ibrahim Dambatta, and Abdu Ibrahim Madaris are the NNPP candidates that sparked the legal lawsuit against INEC and APC.

According to the AUTHORITY, all of the motions ex parte were submitted before the court on April 4, 2023.
