President-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu says he is ready to walk with all Nigerians.

Tinubu said in a statement on Thursday to celebrate Eid-el-Fitri with Muslims that citizens should strive to be better versions of themselves in patriotism, devotion to duty, and honesty.

“As one of Islam’s five pillars, Ramadan is a fundamental spiritual responsibility for Muslims in our country and throughout the world. We have gone through a period of abstinence, self-discipline, self-reflection, self-purification in thankfulness, and entire obedience to the will of Allah with the grace of Almighty Allah.

“We have participated in intense prayers and supplications to Allah,” he stated.

“Aside from the self-denial and pious living that the fasting period enforced on us, the spiritual exercise we just completed has also enabled us to strengthen our moral character and purify our intellect in pursuit of greater objectives for which there should be no turning back.”

“At the heart of our religion, and a primary demand of the faithful, is the necessity to dedicate oneself to healthy life.” Love includes love for one another, love for other humans regardless of creed, geography, or nationality, love for our communities, and love for our country.

“We are at the dawn of a Renewed Hope for a Better, Greater, and More Prosperous Nigeria, and I am ready to walk alongside all Nigerians, young and old, male and female, with this chance to serve you with respect and dignity.”

“This is a commitment I’ve made, and we can’t afford to fail.” “I wish all Muslims in Nigeria and beyond a joyous Sallah holiday.”
