According to reports, the previous leader of Maiha Local Government Area in Adamawa State passed away after a protracted illness.
Alhaji Idirissu Amin, also known as Idi Amin, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council and a supporter of Atiku Abubakar, the former vice president and the party’s nominee for president in the 2023 election, has passed away.
According to reports, the previous leader of Maiha Local Government Area in Adamawa State passed away after a protracted illness.
In a statement, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the governor of Adamawa State’s chief press secretary, referred to the late Amin as a leader in his own right.
“While we lament the loss of a daring political activist who was a leader in his own right, I sincerely sympathise with the family. Our sorrow is made worse by this loss at a time when the State needs Hon. Idi Amin’s services. I pray to Allah to give the family the strength to deal with the loss, to pardon his faults, and to grant him Aljannah Firdausi, the statement said.
