Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi has revealed how his family plotted against him during the presidential election.
The APC governor stated that his family voted for Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) Presidential Candidate.
Umahi discussed the suspected plot on Channels Television on Monday.
He said it was shocking that President Muhammadu Buhari and President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu both lost their states in the February 25 elections to opposition parties.

According to the Senator-elect for Ebonyi South, the LP received votes not because of Obi, but rather as “protest votes” in response to Nigeria’s seeming suffering and issues.
“In all honesty, I didn’t give the Labour Party a chance to win any election in my state (Ebonyi State) because what we put in place was such that no other political party should be able to win anything, not even councillorship elections in my state,” he stated.
“I interpreted the Labour Party vote as a protest against my party (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party” (PDP).
“I was astounded; even inside my own family, there was a plot against me.” I had no idea they voted for Peter Obi, but in the other election, they voted for APC because of what we’ve done in the state.
“This was not a vote for His Excellency Peter Obi.” As a result, there appear to be hardships and obstacles in Nigeria.”
According to the Daily Trust, Bola Tinubu of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) beat Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi to win the presidential election.
