Skales, a Nigerian musician, doesn’t know his biological father’s appearance.
The rapper told Chude Jideonwo in a recent interview. Skales says his father abandoned him, his sister, and his mother when he was four, forcing his mother to work menial jobs to support them and educate him.
The rapper regretted not questioning his mom about his father. He just remembered his beard and how he kissed him on the forehead before leaving. Before his mother died, he worked hard to support her, even as a child.
He remarked, “That’s one riddle I’ve not been able to answer because I don’t even know what my dad looks like.” I just recall my dad’s death.
“He kissed me on the forehead, and I recalled his beard. I was too young to recall the rest. I was around five.
“I’ve asked my mother. Yet, because I love my mom and hate seeing her upset, I think it will make her sad. Never asked.”
