The Third Republic House of Representatives Members Forum has praised President-elect Bola Tinubu as a capable, devoted, and dependable Nigerian who can reshape the country.
The group said they see in Tinubu a promise and commitment to one Nigeria with development and prosperity for all, regardless of religious, ethnic, or political affiliation, in a statement released yesterday by its chairman, Dr. Adzer Abya, publicity secretary, Gabriel EniOtu, and secretary, Wasiu Logun.
“Most Nigerians believe you have what it takes to work hard and achieve great success. A new age of a reformed Nigeria, which would ensure, protect, and care for the well-being of all Nigerians, will begin on May 29, 2023, with Tinubu’s inauguration as president.
The former lawmakers reflected on Senator Tinubu’s time in the National Assembly during the Third Republic. They expressed hope that the nation would develop under his leadership into a new Nigeria that would embody the ambitions of the whole black race and those of the African continent.
The event applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for his dedication to democracy following the recently held general elections, particularly his decision to declare the late MKO Abiola the victor of the June 12, 1993, presidential election posthumously.
They expressed their happiness that June 12, which occurred during their time, was designated Nigeria’s Democracy Day.
They contended that Tinubu’s ascension to the Third Republic National Assembly was a sign that all other matters pertaining to that republic would be resolved.
