Hon. Enyinnaya Onuegbu, Special Adviser on politics, denied the accusation as a “falsehood from the pit of hell” by the Governorship Campaign Council of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State that Governor Hope Uzodimma of All Progressive Congress (APC) directed his aides to launch “Operation Show Your PVC” before benefiting from the fuel subsidy removal.

Dr. Ikenna Onuoha, Director, Media and Publicity, Imo PDP (Sam-Jones) Governorship Campaign Council, stated that Uzodimma had distributed the remaining palliatives to Sole Administrators, Commissioners, Special Advisers, and other government appointees, with a directive to distribute to only APC members with Permanent Voters Cards (PVC). He claimed that Imo citizens from the Labour Party, APGA, SDP, NNPP, PDP, and others cannot participate.

Onuoha criticised the development as worrying and against the Federal Government’s sharing template, arguing that Governor Uzodimma’s Shared Prosperity mantra is too petty and vindictive.

Onuegbu advised the campaign council to focus on issues and stop spreading harmful lies, saying people can tell the truth from fiction.

However, the PDP Governorship Media and Campaign Council Director stated that “as an entity that believes in the rule of law, what Uzodimma and APC are presently doing in the state has confirmed the insinuation that the prevalent hunger, starvation and anguish experienced by Imo people now and in the past are deliberately orchestrated by APC government in

He strongly urged Imo State voters to reject the alleged Greek gift, which he claimed was intended to expose their private identification numbers in exchange for their PVCs before the November 11th gubernatorial election.
