Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, encouraged opposition parties to accept the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal’s ruling certifying President Bola Tinubu’s Feb. 25 presidential election win.
Ganduje said Wednesday in Abuja that the judgement was detailed and addressed all petitioners’ arguments.
I encourage the opposition to accept the tribunal ruling. He remarked that there will always be another election to evaluate your popularity and acceptability.
He asked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) to work with President Bola Tinubu’s APC-led government to solve the country’s problems.
Ganduje said that the court ruling accurately reflected the presidential election and that the Tinubu government will fulfil its political pledges.
He said this was about resetting the nation for prosperity and success for everybody.
The APC national chairman said Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi’s decision to contest Tinubu’s tribunal triumph showed their trust in the judiciary.
He urged opposition parties to accept the tribunal ruling in good faith since it upheld democracy and the rule of law.
Given the huge support Nigerians showed him and our party, the APC, before and throughout the election, I had no doubt the president would win.
I also thank the Nigerian Court for adjudicating presidential election problems without fear or favour by doing the correct thing.
This verdict created a precedent for election affairs in the nation.
The ruling attests that the rule of law will always reign supreme, and our hard-earned democracy will grow beyond bounds, added Ganduje.
He complimented Tinubu and APC’s devoted supporters.
