The drama that broke out between the two Labor Party camps at the final hearing of the presidential election petition tribunal is no longer news.

You may remember that the Lamidi Apapa faction and the Labour Party’s national leadership have been at odds.

Yesterday, when Apapa and his group stormed the court to watch the proceedings, the problem took on a new dimension. Their arrival created a commotion both inside and outside the courthouse.

Lamidi Apapa was reportedly surrounded by some Obidients shortly after the court session because they were displeased with the part he was playing. It needed the involvement of security personnel for Apapa to be escorted out of the building.

In the meantime, Lamidi Apapa member Abayomi Arabambi indicated in an exclusive interview with TVC news that his group would return to court with their attorneys to take over the Labour Party suit during the subsequent sitting.

Hear him. “We’ll ask our solicitors to take over the Labour Party matter on Friday. Only their lawyers will take instructions for the Labour Party in the presidential election petition tribunal, and we cannot participate.
