The Access Bank American Express Gold Card and the Metal Platinum Card are two brand-new consumer credit cards from Access Bank Plc.
In Nigeria and West Africa, they are the first American Express cards to be issued.
Access Bank has enhanced its overall offering to its retail and private bank customers with the launch of these cards, who can now take advantage of the membership rewards loyalty programme and a variety of travel and leisure advantages.
Herbert Wigwe, Group Managing Director of Access Holdings, said the cards will be made available upon request and invitation, and customers who have expressed interest will be able to use them right away. Wigwe was speaking at the event in Lagos.
“We do have a large network, and with this relationship, AMEX will back this partnership with 60 million clients. Collaborating with AMEX in this cooperation is a huge endorsement for us.
“The launch of American Express Cards in Nigeria is another milestone in the continuous development of a vibrant and quickly expanding payments industry,” said Roosevelt Ogbonna, managing director and CEO of Access Bank. Consumers seek true value rather than just transactions.
“With American Express, we can offer beneficial card perks, potent loyalty rewards, and a genuine motivation to switch from cash to electronic payments.
“We can connect more customers to the SMEs and retail enterprises around the nation, which we know are the engine of economic growth, by diversifying our offerings to facilitate payments,” the company claims.
