The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, has stated that the myriad problems surrounding President-elect Bola Tinubu demonstrate that his route to triumph is predetermined by God.
There were questions concerning the President-health, elect’s age, genuine name, educational qualification, family history, and source of money in the run-up to the 2023 election, according to sources.
There were also concerns about his claimed role in illicit drug trafficking in the United States, his whereabouts, and his purported dual citizenship.
In an interview with Channels Television on Sunday, Fashola stated that the spokespersons for his Presidential Campaign Council had answered all inquiries concerning Tinubu.
Fashola claimed that the various claims leveled against his former principal have not been supported by actual proof, and that they have been circulating for some time.
According to the minister, the president-elect has a history of overcoming adversity to achieve success, and the difficulties surrounding Tinubu may be an indication of a “good” reversal for the country.
The former Governor of Lagos State stated that there is no “sainthood” in government and that the emphasis should be on performance and efficiency.
“I think those problems have been well exposed,” he remarked. After Nigerians have made their decision, such considerations are irrelevant. That is what these votes have shown.
“His route to achievement becomes more harder with each step.” He is having a difficult day. The more difficult it becomes, you can be certain that it is Asiwaju.
“I believe all of these obstacles have finally been overcome.” Perhaps there is a divine purpose. Perhaps this is the turning point in Nigeria’s history.
“Government is not about sainthood. It is all about efficiency, performance, and delivery.
“You must understand that we are not searching for saints. All of the charges leveled against him have been either unfounded or have had no evidence given in favor of them, but they have been running for a while.”
