Dr. Umar Ardo, a former presidential adviser and SDP governorship candidate in Adamawa, explained why the current administration failed to secure Nigeria and other concerns.
Ardo lamented Buhari’s failure since he was a military officer who could safeguard the nation.
He blamed Buhari’s failure on his election as president. “Because when he became president, he took the body of APC and left the soul.
Ardo told NIGERIAN TRIBUNE, “I am the essence of APC. I created the concept, convinced Buhari, and brought in Tinubu. I planned the administration when developing the idea.
The Buhari ex-aide said he masterminded the merging of CPC and ACN to establish a new political party under which the former and latter would run for president and vice-president in Nigeria’s 2015 presidential election.
“My objective was not just to get Buhari in, but also to run the administration as an adviser to settle matters. He stopped seeing me the day Buhari became president-elect. With my strategic planning, APC took off.
I stayed in PDP and pegged it down to help APC win. I challenged Jonathan’s eligibility to dispute in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court dismissed the lawsuit in November 2014. I did this, and what happened to me? Buhari deceived me, and I did it to help the country, not to receive something from him.
“As a previous governor of Northeastern state, Buhari would have strong insight into the area and handle the insecurity there,” he stated.
