Comrade Joseph Ewuga, the Labour Party’s (LP) candidate for governor of Nasarawa State in the 2023 election, has lost his father, the late Joseph Bello Ewudun.

In a statement he signed and made available to Tribune Online on Thursday morning in Lafia, the politician and contractor announced the passing of his father. He also stated that his father would be buried on Friday in Bukan Sidi, Lafia, behind Dunamis Church, following a funeral service at ERCC number 1.

Remember that two weeks before the election, Ewuga resigned as the state’s candidate for governor to make way for David Ombugadu of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Ewuga, still the state’s top Labour Party official, asked for prayers for his family while characterising his late father as a strict disciplinarian.

“My late father was a compassionate, kind, strict disciplinarian and a respected community member. His life was one of moral excellence and high principles.

He leaves behind his wife, seven children, and more relatives, who are too numerous to list. He will be missed, Ewuga added.
