According to reports, Anthony Martial will allegedly be sold this summer as part of a significant team change by Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag.
Due to injury, the French attacker, who joined Old Trafford in 2015 from Monaco, has been unable to live up to expectations or earn a regular starting position under Ten Hag.
UK Mirror claims that Martial is the favourite player of United co-owner Joel Glazer, who once stepped in to save the 27-year-old from being sold by previous manager Jose Mourinho. The Frenchman’s tenure at the club seems to be coming to an end now that Ten Hag is in control.
Martial spent the previous season on loan at the Spanish team Sevilla but needed more success. Ten Hag is rumoured to want to restructure the team and will let go of a few important players to create room for new additions.
Glazer, who has apparently been a fan of Martial since he joined the team, would undoubtedly be disappointed by the decision to move the player.
To change United’s fortunes, though, Ten Hag will probably seek to sign new players as the team gets set to compete in the Champions League next season.
