Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag expressed dissatisfaction with his team’s performance despite securing a 4-2 victory over Sheffield United on Wednesday night.

The match saw Jayden Bogle giving the visitors an early lead, only for Harry Maguire to level the score before halftime. Sheffield United regained the lead through Ben Brereton Diaz, but Bruno Fernandes’ brace turned the tide in Manchester United’s favour. Rasmus Hojlund sealed the win with a late goal as United climbed to sixth place in the table.

Reflecting on the match, Ten Hag acknowledged the excitement it brought for the spectators with four goals and numerous chances created.

“While there were many positives in our performance and the numerous chances we created, there were also negatives, particularly conceding two goals from giveaways, which is unacceptable,” Ten Hag remarked in an interview with Sky Sports.

He emphasized the team’s commitment to dynamic, attacking football, highlighting their consistent ability to generate scoring opportunities since the winter.
