EPL: Frank Leboeuf criticises £50m player as “simply too clumsy” star for Chelsea

Raheem Sterling, a £50 million Chelsea star, has come under fire from legendary Chelsea player Frank Leboeuf, who claims the England international is just too clumsy.

Leboeuf claimed he was dissatisfied with Sterling’s performance for Chelsea this year.

Sterling moved from Manchester City to Chelsea last summer for an estimated £50 million transfer.

The 28-year-first-old’s season with the Blues has been disappointing, with only six Premier League goals.

In a Si & Dan Talk Chelsea post, Leboeuf stated, “I never like to be too hard on some players, I want to respect the man first, and I want to respect the player.”

“You can’t be an average player and play for Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea.

But I told Chelsea that someone other than Raheem Sterling would provide them with anything more when he arrived.

“There must be a reason Pep Guardiola chose to fire him, otherwise. I argued that £50 million was excessive for him.

“But he is not a leader on the pitch; he is quite sloppy. Even though I was pleased to see him score twice against Forest, I must admit that I have not been pleased with his performances on the whole since he joined. He must be more clumsy, lose the ball frequently, and miss too many opportunities.
