The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) provided the Presidential Election Petition Court with copies of the results sheets, printouts of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), and a count of the number of Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) on Tuesday (PEPC).
36 States and the Federal Capital Territory received copies for the most recent presidential election (FCT).
The PDP and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, presented the documents as part of the start of the hearing in the petition.
Lawyers for the respondents objected to several of the documents that the petitioners’ attorney Eyitayo Jegede (SAN), had submitted from the bar. Still, all of the documents were accepted as evidence.
The petitioners called no witnesses.
The court intends to resume proceedings in the petition by Obi and the LP by 9 am on Wednesday. Further hearing in the petition will continue at 2 pm on Wednesday.
