Hundreds of Ijebu Igbo locals flocked to the late Senator Buruji Kashamu’s residence to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr with Hon. Abdul Rasheed Kashamu, member-elect of the Ogun State House of Assembly.

Hon. Rasheed Kashamu, the late benefactor and politician’s son, has gained a seat in the state House of Assembly.

He is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and will represent Ijebu North Constituency 1.

Maintaining the father’s heritage, the younger Kashamu, who has been entertaining the folks since 2020, when the senior Kashamu passed away, flung open the gates into the sprawling family complex.

Hundreds of men, women, children, and teens received Eid-el-Fitr gifts.

The ecstatic audience was handed bags of food, including rice, noodles, and cash.

They praised the young benefactor for carrying on his late father’s legacy.

Previously, Hon. Kashamu conducted Salat al-Eid at the Muslim Prayer Ground in Oke Alafia, where he was hailed by throngs of fans.

“I felicitate with you all, my brothers and sisters, particularly the Muslim Ummah in Ijebu North Constituency 1, on the occasion of this year’s Eid El Fitr, which marks the conclusion of the Ramadan fast,” the 26-year-old stated in his greeting to his people.

“May Almighty Allah reward all of our sacrifices, and I encourage us to live an excellent life worthy of emulation.”

Muslims throughout the world celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, which marks the conclusion of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month of fasting.

The holiday is observed during the first three days of Shawwl, the tenth month of the Islamic calendar.
