Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate for the African Action Congress (AAC), has charged that Peter Obi, the nominee for the Labour Party (LP), is using June 12 to “catch cruise.”
The statement was made by Sowore while referring to June 12 as National Opportunists Day.
He remembered that on June 12, 1993, Obi had admitted to working for the late Head of State, Sani Abacha.
Sowore tweeted that June 12 has been designated as “National Opportunists Day.” A @peterobi, who freely admitted that he cleared the Tin Can Island port for General Abacha while Abacha was occupied killing June 12 protagonists, is also using June 12 for a cruise. Wonders won’t stop happening.
The Nigerian government has designated June 12 as Democracy Day.
To honour the late MKO Abiola, the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari shifted Democracy Day from May 29 to June 12.
