CEO of Turquaz Group Süreyya receives corporate leadership honour

Süreyya Ümran Alınak, President of the Anadolu Women Farmers Association and CEO of Turquaz Health, has been honored with the Corporate Leadership Award for her remarkable contributions to entrepreneurship and cultural exchange between Türkiye and Nigeria.

At the recently concluded Global Leadership & Entrepreneurship Summit in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on April 30, 2024, Süreyya, known affectionately as Süreyya, received this prestigious award in recognition of her significant achievements.

Her accolade comes after eight years of local initiatives in Nigeria, encompassing free educational, leadership, agricultural, and entrepreneurship training for youth empowerment.

In her acceptance speech, Süreyya emphasized the importance of fostering strong ties and shaping a promising future for Türkiye and Nigeria. She highlighted Turquaz Group’s decade-long commitment to enhancing bilateral relations through various initiatives.

Turquaz Group’s focus on providing medical assistance, facilitating Christian pilgrimages to Türkiye, conducting capacity-building programs, supplying medical resources, and offering agricultural training has played a vital role in promoting collaboration and mutual understanding.

As part of its ongoing efforts, Turquaz Group aims to expand its reach by implementing medical, agricultural, and aquaculture training programs and capacity-building initiatives across Nigeria.

In recognition of Süreyya’s outstanding contributions, the Anadolu Women Farmers Association announced a three-day free online aquaculture entrepreneurship training program for the youth of Rivers State. This initiative aims to harness the state’s natural resources and create new employment opportunities for its youth.

Additionally, Turkish Healthcare, led by Ms. Sureyya Omran, will conduct an “incentive medicine care training course” in Abuja from June 5-7, 2024. This initiative underscores Turquaz Group’s commitment to promoting healthcare excellence and capacity building in Nigeria.

Süreyya expressed her optimism for the future, envisioning a stronger bridge between Turkey and Nigeria. She reiterated Turquaz Group’s unwavering dedication to collaboration, empowerment, and economic development, inviting stakeholders to join hands in shaping a brighter future for Türkiye and Nigeria.
